The project
Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters has been family owned since 1952 and was named National Retailer of the Year by the ASA Sportfishing Industry. In 2013 the company built a new 24,000 square foot warehouse, with Hammers Construction of Perham, Minnesota as the design-build general contractor.
The system
Premier Energy USA installed ThermaRay thermal mass floor heating. The panels were laid on grade, covered with 8 inches of fill, and the slab was poured on top. The ground beneath becomes one large mass of stored heat.
The result
More than ten years later, the system has needed no maintenance, repairs or replacement.
